Can a runner that doesn’t run, wake up Saturday morning and crank out an 8 mile training run?!
For sure! And it feels sooo good to be a runner that runs again.
13.1 here I come! I put it off last night, but I did want to take a look at my July goals…mostly that’s because I didn’t even remember them. Oops!
July Goals
1. Get stronger & continue with daily ab work-I am stronger for sure, but since June I’ve totally slacked on the ab work.
2. Start half marathon training (I’m running a race in September)-Although I’ve had my share of Running Woes this month (namely one nasty sinus infection), I am signed up for a half marathon. This morning’s long, slow run was a success!
3. Cook farmer’s market meals-I have not been making it to the market as often as I want to. Hoping to get there more often moving forward!
4. Do Yoga-Yes! Taking amazing classes and teaching adorable kids and teens. Yoga continues to be a special part of my day!
August Goals
1. Go to the farmer’s market and eat more greens
2. Throw a fiesta
3. Progress half marathon training
And now that we’re all caught up, it’s time to check out and head off to the west coast!
See you next week!
What are your August goals?
Great goals! Mine are to save money and keep running a lot 🙂
Oh man I need to save money too but I know that wont’ happen with this upcoming trip!
Awesome run! I’m glad it went well for you! My big goal for August is to train for an October marathon, if my body will let me. I also need to get my butt in the yoga studio more–hopefully my work schedule will let me! Have a great weekend!
Hopefully my work schedule will let me too! Sounds like an awesome plan for October. Best of luck with your training!
Awesome that 8 miler was so great!! Great August goals!!
My goals for August: continue on with recovery for probably another week. Start easing back into running because I have Hood To Coast in less than 3 weeks! Now that I have more time on my hands cook some different stuff. Go SUPing a couple of times!!
You amaze me every year!
I need to start reading blogs and catch up on you race. Congratulations!!!
Way to go!! I am in the same boat of loving the feeling of running again!! It’s fantastic. Training for something definitely helps!
It sure does! Except that I haven’t trained since…ha ha! Must get in another long run this weekend since I slacked off in Cali!
August goals for me: get new blog/fitness pics that I can use for the bloggy boo, make an e book, build a bigger booty, complete the 3 Day Refresh, survive NW Ohio water crisis!
Yikes…I didn’t know there was a water crisis. Your goals look amazing and inspiring. I need to add to my goals…reading and catching up on blogs after vacation : )
I love that one of your goals is to throw a fiesta! I think mine is to finally move permanently into the city (maybe that will be a September goal?) and start weight lifting on a consistent basis again.
strength training consistenly is always my goal. Although I have to say I missed it while I was traveling so that has to be a good sign : ) We’d love to move into the city too! Hope the new job is going well!
[…] doing this week was running. My half marathon is 4 weeks from today. Although I rocked my pre vacation long run, I haven’t done much more than 30 minute training runs since then…plus some biking and […]
