Back to the Normal Routine

After a weekend of indulgences, I was ready to get back to my normal routine.  It started with a Monday morning sweat session where I hit the weights hard!  Thanks to my trainer not because I am that self motivated.

I was also craving some greens, so stocked up on tons (possibly too many) veggies and salad stuff at the grocery store.  After my workout, I immediately made myself some green juice.

Also on my catch up list…cuddle and play time with Cooper!

This little guy just cracks me up!  With less than 6 weeks until the Bar and me trying to slip back into the work week, I thought it would be best to keep our meal planning simple this week.

In Clockwise order, you’ve got Monday’s stirfy, Tuesday’s shrimp, and this week’s lunch.  Already we have strayed from the original plan and got Portillo’s for dinner tonight.  I didn’t really follow any of the recipes exactly, but everything turned out awesome!  Especially the casserole!  On a funny note…turns out the BOY used the entire jar of pesto on our shrimp.  They were strong, but still delicious!

Meal Planning 6/16/14

Monday: Chicken Stirfry

Tuesday: Pesto Grilled Shrimp

Wednesday: Portillo’s Chop Salad

Thursday: Pork Tenderloin and Veggies

Lunch: Chicken Enchilada Quinoa Casserole

How do you get back to normal after vacation?

  1. I try to do exactly what you did -beginning with sweat-sweat-and more sweat, followed by HEALTHY eating. I try to skip all the little indulgences for at least a week so that I get used to eating “normally” again and the little indulgences become just that-little. I love the sweaty selfie!

    • It was really good! I had it reheated this week for lunch and I LOVED it! I know I didn’t do a great job of taking pics and writing out my thoughts but really wanted to share that recipe becuase it is a keeper!

  2. Green vegetables and a run help me get back on track. if I’ve REALLY been indulging I may cut out treats for a few days. I’m generally fairly liberal with the treats.
    Awwww. Cooper 🙂

  3. Way to get back to it quick!! Love that pic of Cooper! Super cute!
The worst thing about going on vacation is you have to come back and things have to get back to normal ASAP! I usually get back into working out just fine but not having anything in the house to eat is the worst!

  4. There can never be too many veggies 😉 I jump back in with dark green salads for lunch, lots of quality protein and kombucha 🙂 Super cute sunnies in that first pic!
