It Feels Good to be Home {Stories of a Wild Weekend}

Over the last two weeks, I have spent every day either working long hours or traveling.  So having a day off today feels good…REAL GOOD!  Don’t get me wrong, I have a lot to catch up on, so today will involve more doing than relaxing.  But sleeping in was a much needed start to the week, followed by extra love and purring from Cooper (he’s just so sweet and cute), and then on to some healthy eggs for breakfast and delicious flavored black tea (often difficult to find on the road).

Ferry Ride to Put-In-Bay

I scheduled a 10am training session to get myself back on the wagon and then have a long list of the usual weekend stuff (laundry, grocery store, meal planning) and an even longer list of the other things that I haven’t attended to in the past two weeks.  Although this wasn’t the case, I do feel like I’ve been on a 2 week vacation, so the caffeine from my new Teavanna tea is helping wake me up get me focused for the week ahead!

After my trip to NYC (yoga post to come), I headed off to the great state of Ohio to celebrate my future SIL’s bachelorette party.  17 girls rented a house for 3 nights on Put-In-Bay, an island in Lake Erie only reachable by ferry.

The weekend involved wine tasting, dancing, shots, pool parties, and a whole lot of other shenanigans I promised I wouldn’t share on my blog…although some of which are captured on Instagram : )

I had a blast getting to know my brother and SIL’s friends and I know that everyone is looking forward to their wedding, which is now less than 4 weeks away!  I find it so special when your family (and future family) also become your friends!

BTW, I should also confess that in the process of this weekend, I seem to have lost my voice so you have to imagine me sharing all of this with you through the raspy voice of a 55 year old chain smoking truck driver!

Happy Marvelous Monday!
