I’ve been focusing on taking care of my body this year. I’m strength training a few days a week, loving my yoga, and cooking clean recipes. And I’m feeling great! But next week I am heading off to Las Vegas where I’m sure there will be enough delicious calories to last the rest of the month.
In prep for my trip, I decided to keep my diet clean this week, focusing on real foods. Thinking that many of you may be trying to do the same, I thought I’d share a few of my recent eats and clean favorites.

Lunch
Dinner
Snacks
And…of course I’ve been leaving room for a few squares of dark chocolate!
I leave Tuesday for Las Vegas. It will be wonderful to get out of the snow and cold, so I am definitely looking forward to almost a week away. I will be at a conference for the first few days, and then the BOY is flying out to meet me for a weekend of fun. Bring on the sunshine! And fun!
What is your favorite ‘detox’ recipe?
Any restaurant recommendations for Las Vegas?
You can even make healthy food look amazing!! You should offer a healthy food delivery service. I would definitely sign up for it after I get back from this vacation (talk about HORRIBLE eating!!). I will need to detox for months! Have a great trip to Vegas. So glad you are getting a break from the awful weather (and hopefully you will miss the big storm everyone is talking about!).
We are getting some of it this weekend, but I heard there is more to come. Thank you for your lovely compliment! I would bring food to people for sure because I always have leftovers to share!
I’ve never been to Vegas, but I hear they have pretty legit vegan restaurants! I love eating whole, clean food…they make me feel like a boss. I’m all over those coconut balls and fudge bites!
I hope there are some good clean restaurants!! I am a huge fan of the raw recipes! I have an entire Pinterest blog of them : ) I need to get back to creating some more of them!
What casino are you staying in and what kind of food are you looking for? I have a couple recommendations in Mandalay Bay and the Venetian, but they are on opposite sides of the strip. You can find healthy options, but make sure to splurge on some of the exceptional restaurants. Especially if the company is paying 😉
Yes we definitely want some delicious and splurge worthy places. I am staying at Mirage, right across from Venetian…that is where the conference is. Bring on the suggestions!!!
Love the meals! They look awesome!! Keep up the good work on the clean eating!
Restaurants in Vegas: Hash House A GoGo–best breakfast EVER!! It is so funny cause I am from Vegas and have no favorite restaurants there!! 😦
Have so much fun!!! It is going to be so nice not being in the snow!!!!
I had no idea that is where you are from. Love breakfast and will add that to my list of places to try. Thanks! I don’t think I have ever been SO excited to head into the desert : )
[…] krispies. I quickly whipped up a batch of Peppermint Rice Krispy Treats. Not exactly part of the clean eating plan, but still really […]
Omg!!! Thanks so much for the recipes. Tomorrow I’m having the chia bowl for breakfast and I’m pretty sure I bookmarked almost everything else to try jajajaja.
I think we all try to detox a little after Xtmas. I eat clean but even at Xtmas let my hair down a little and ate things I usually don’t anymore. I’m just finishing a 21 day sugar detox. I wasn’t overly strict with myself but did refocused towards my carb intake and sugar. I know I was def eating tooo many carbs in every meal or snack so now I’m back to focus.
How did the 21 day detox go? That has to be tough but feel SO GOOD! So glad that you enjoyed the recipes! Let me know what you think of them when you make them!
Your recipes look so good, I want coconut shrimp!
Hope you have a good time in Vegas! Our favorite places to eat are Planet Dallies in Planet Hollywood, they seriously have the best Reuben ever. Grimaldi’s Pizza in the Venetian, someone already mentioned Hash House A Go Go in the Quad, the portions are HUGE! it was featured on Man v Food, but really good! I always have to get a piece of cheesecake from the Cheesecake Factory cause there are so many delicious options, its in Caesar’s Forum shops and my all time favorite would be Fogo De Chao. It’s a Brazilian bbq restaurant with seriously the best meat ever- filet mignon wrapped in bacon, chicken wrapped in bacon, so good! It’s a little pricey, but so worth it 🙂
OMG! Thank you! This is what I was looking for. I know Fogo…we have one in Chicago and LOVE it for special occasions. I will have to check out the pizza and I know the BOY would go crazy for a Reuban. It’s so hard to know where to start. Thankfully I will be there for almost a week. I’ll have a lot more horizontal running to do when I return…ha ha!
All of this food looks incredible! I am a big fan of green smoothies for detox, too. And yoga–gotta sweat it out. 🙂
For sure! I’m a big fan of my hot yoga class!
