So, I’m sure you can tell by the title of this post that we are back in town after an absolutely incredible weekend in Sarasota, Florida. I so appreciate everyone’s travel wishes!!! We easily made it down to Florida and then spent 4 days exploring the city (despite all of my trips to Florida, I rarely make it to the gulf coast) and catching up with old friends.
We buried our feet in the sand…
Kept cocktails in in hand…
Splashed around in the pool…
Drank green smoothies to stay cool…
Walked around town…
And dressed up to boogie down…
We admired the setting sun…
But way too soon, our trip was done!
Isn’t that always the case?! We’ve got a busy week ahead, but hopefully I’ll find some time to drop in and share a few more photos and stories.
Sending warm wishes from the sunshine state your way!
Aww! What an amazing trip! Ahh, that sand looks so beautiful and warm right now!!! 🙂
It really was! Every day was 70 and sunny…so perfect it was surreal. The sand is super white on the golf coast and perfect for walking, running, biking, or searching for sea shells.
Awwwww . . . what beautiful pictures! I hope you two enjoyed yourselves and were able to truly relax! 🙂
We did! It took a little white, but once we got there, changed into shorts, and had lunch and a cocktail, we truly felt like we were on vacation : )
Absolutely LOVE the sand art! Very cool. I am so jealous right now-the sand and warmth sound so wonderful-I grew up in So Calif. Other side of the country but so much nicer in the winter than here-sometimes I feel so land-locked here!
I had my husband make the chicken and figs last week-it was a feat as even though he is retired “honey do lists” are not allowed. The recipe turned out great and I made the chicken with peanut sauce-awesome! DD is trying to eat “clean” (most of the time) and that fit the bill! Thanks so much for the great recipes!
Thanks for such great comments! I am thrilled that you and the family enjoyed the recipes. I know my mom made the peanut chicken last week too and forgot to ask how it turned out. Once I finally make my way to the grocery store, there will be more clean recipes to come!
oh wow feel the warmth just looking at these pics.. looks like you had a blast.. your dress is sooo cute too ! love it
Thank you!
It is the best wedding dress because it is comfortable and cute and allows me to dance all night long : ) I am hoping to still feel the warmth today before I head out to my car for work. Brrr!
So glad you had a great time!! As always, you look amazing all dolled up! I could go for some serious sun over here!!
You are so sweet! I wish I could bottle up the sun and send it your way : )
My mind brought me to the beach as I read your post! Great pictures! Did you make those snowmen?!
Thank you for the warm wishes- I’m soaking them in!
Nope…just passed them on my way down the beach. The guy was holding a shovel and it fell just as I was taking the picture : )
Sounds like a great way to escape this Midwest weather! Great pics! We don’t make it to the Gulf coast much either. We tend to favor the east coast for some reason. I can’t wait to see more sunny pictures!
This coast is beautiful! It’s definitely a nice change of pace. I will definitely work on getting some more pics up!
Thank you! You are so sweet! The hair is a bit out of control for a 31 year old but I’m diggn’ it because it is easy to do straight or wavy.
[…] the BOY, and sit my exhausted butt on the couch to watch Pitch Perfect. Oh, and blog about our weekend trip to Sarasota! One week ago, the BOY and I boarded a plane for the sunshine state. We had a slight […]
What a fantastic sunshiny trip! Awesome pictures!
Thanks! I was so sad not to have my bike. There were some great bridges and paths that would have been so fun to ride along!
