It is officially fall and all the signs are present.
Since fall is my favorite season, I am more than happy to say goodbye to flip flops and air conditioning and welcome in the brisk weather and cute fall boots! Not to mention all the hearty recipes!
The leaves are changing
Pumpkin beer is a plenty (I think the Pumking is my favorite!)

And I have dusted off the crockpot for its first meal of the season…
Two-Ingredient Crockpot Chicken!
I used a smoky salsa (Mrs. Renfro’s is my favorite) to make this easy and flavorful dinner last night. And then had leftovers for lunch today!

Unique Halloween candy is popping up

The Chicago Bears are playing
And I just can’t get my hands on enough veggies and fall squash at the farmer’s market

The blogs are abuzz with fresh fall recipes

The crockpot is back in action making Vegetarian Chili

The doors and windows are open, and I have a smile on my face!!!
What signs of fall have you seen?
What recipes are you most excited to make this season?
I’m definitely looking forward to making some old favorites…
CSA Soup (I’ve already made 1 batch this fall)
Curried Butternut and Red Lentil Soup
Wow, that chili looks yummy! I was so excited to break out my boots this weekend. Finally, it’s fall!
Hooray for fall boots! The chili turned out really good. I’m looking forward to having it for lunch this week. Thanks for stopping by!
I love fall recipes too, and I just made chili tonight! So good. By the way, I was thinking about your mean people predicament and just remember all publicity is good publicity. You may have even gotten a new follower or two.
[...] This decision allowed me to have a lovely no-pressure Sunday with no alarm clock, minimal time spent in my car (as opposed to driving the hour to the race start), watching the Bears, doing some laundry, and making veggie chili. I also got took a 15 mile bike ride spending an hour along the forest preserve path admiring the contrast in colors and changing leaves. [...]
Please keep those fall pictures comming. I miss fall here in South Florida. I have a bag of candy corn M&Ms next to me right now.
That you can count on….my mom and I are heading up to Wisconsin next weekend so there will be plenty of season photos. Have you tried the pumpkin kisses? They are incredible!
Thanks for the beautiful fall pictures-and the pics of beer (those make me laugh).
Any time! I love taking pictures when the leaves are changing and get so excited when my on the move photos that I take while riding turn out so good.
Woohoo for fall being back! I love that two-ingredient crockpot chicken you made – i’ve made it before + it is SO good + so versatile. YUM!
That is the perfect word…versatile! I eat it in sandwiches, salads, wraps, and today had it with chili. DELISH!
Pumpkin beer is my favorite (pumpkin anything really). Our mornings have been pretty cold here in Albuquerque, but still high 80′s during the day, so it hasn’t really felt like fall yet. I’m excited to head to Chicago in a couple of weeks for the marathon because it looks like there is some great fall weather over there (at least I’m hoping it stays that way)!
Right now is perfect running weather. I hope for all of you marathoners that it doesn’t change a bit. Last year, was way too hot! I will be there cheering ya’ll on. It’s my first year as a spectator and I can’t wait! Maybe I should be holding pumpkin beer on the sidelines for the runners : )
I had veggie chili last night. It’s so good. Yours looks delicious.
Oh I’m so giddy fall is finally here! Football… boots… pumpkin everything… I could go on and on!
I’m glad I’m not the only one who gets happy with all the signs of fall. These are the best few weeks for sure…and that’s not just the pumpkin beer talking : )
