As today is the first day to sign up for the Chicago marathon, I popped out of bed this morning (ok so that is a lie…I snoozed twice) and then got out of bed, headed to my computer, and registered for my first marathon. It is October 9th, 2011 and I plan to raise money for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. Energized for the big race 249 days away (and excited for my treat day), I headed to the gym for some running intervals and then to work early before the big storm. As of now, I am snowed in to my parents house and looking forward to my first ‘adult’ snow day. I still can’t believe we are closed tomorrow, but enjoying a glass of wine and the treats I saved for my P’s. Perhaps my mom and I will do some more baking tomorrow. For my Chicago friends, be safe this “Snowpocolypse” and enjoy some time snowed in with family and friends!
Being Me
Welcome to my page! I am a 30 year old living in suburbia struggling to balance a full-time job in health care, healthy eating, and exercise along with all the other fun things I enjoy. I love to bake, run, travel, practice yoga, take pictures, cook, and share it all with you.

How exciting! Can’t wait to come watch your run! I just signed up for the Solider Field 10-miler. Never run that far before… so hopefully I’ll survive!
I LOVE that race! It is really fun and a beautiful path. You will do GREAT…10 miles is a nice distance too.
